Spurs Playoffs 2026: The Senior Fan’s Guide to Watching, Attending, and Loving Every Minute

April 16, 2026 by Team SFHSA Leave a Comment

San Antonio, this is your moment. The San Antonio Spurs are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2019. If you’re a senior fan in this city, there is absolutely no reason you should miss a single minute of it. Whether you’re watching from your living room or walking through the doors of Frost Bank Center yourself, this playoff run belongs to you just as much as it belongs to anyone.

Let’s make sure you know exactly how to enjoy it.

How the San Antonio Spurs Got to the Playoffs Season

This isn’t just a good Spurs team. This is one of the most exciting teams in franchise history. The Spurs finished the 2025–26 regular season with a 62–20 record, their best in years, and earned the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. Led by the extraordinary Victor Wembanyama (a 7’3″ generational talent who can block shots, shoot threes, and do things no player his size has ever done), plus All-Star De’Aaron Fox and Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle, this roster is genuinely fun to watch.

For longtime San Antonio Spurs playoff fans who remember the Tim Duncan championship years, the good news is this: the electricity is back. The city is buzzing. And the Spurs are going deep.

The Game Schedule

The Spurs face the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round. Here’s when to watch:

GameDateTime (CT)Where to WatchAt Home?

Game 5*Tuesday, April 28TBDTBDSan Antonio ✅

*If needed. Radio: WOAI 1200-AM (English) / KXTN 1350-AM (Spanish) for every game.

Important note for home viewers: This year, the playoffs are not on local TV, all games are on national networks or streaming. If you have cable with NBC and ESPN, you’re covered for most games. Game 3 requires Amazon Prime Video (if you already have Amazon Prime for shopping, you already have this. Just look for the Prime Video app on your TV).

Here’s Your Senior-Friendly Guide to Frost Bank Center

Here’s the best news for San Antonio Spurs playoff fans with mobility concerns. Frost Bank Center is one of the most accessible arenas in the NBA. Don’t let a cane, a walker, or a wheelchair stop you from being there in person.

Parking

The arena has approximately 7,000 onsite parking spaces, with accessible ADA parking available in Lots 1–4 and Lot 6, located near accessible arena entrances. Spots are first-come, first-served, so arrive early (at least 60-75 minutes before tip-off). You’ll need your ADA placard and a matching driver’s license. Parking typically runs around $15-$20; pre-purchasing online through Ticketmaster is highly recommended to save time. If driving yourself feels like too much, Taxi, Uber or Lyft drop-off is available in Lot 5. Just arrange your pickup time in advance, as post-game rideshare can get busy.

Getting Inside

All main entrances are ADA-compliant. Elevators are located at all major entry points and reach every seating level, no stairs required. Escalators are also available on the North and South concourses. If you need help, arena staff are stationed throughout and are known for their friendliness and accommodation.

Wheelchair Seating and Companion Seats

Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on every level of Frost Bank Center. When purchasing tickets, simply select accessible seating options and a companion seat can be purchased alongside yours. If you need a wheelchair just to get to your seat, courtesy wheelchairs are available at no charge. Just ask a staff member at Guest Services.

Restrooms and Comfort

Restrooms on every level meet full ADA standards. There are also private companion restrooms on every level for guests who need assistance. A quiet sensory room with noise-canceling headphones is available through Guest Services (Section 101) if the crowd noise becomes overwhelming, a thoughtful feature for anyone with hearing sensitivity.

One Smart Tip

Call the Frost Bank Center Fan Experience Team at 210-444-5140 before you go. They’ll answer your specific questions, help you select the right seats, and make sure everything is arranged in advance. A little planning goes a long way toward a stress-free, wonderful night.

You’ve Earned This Playoff Run

San Antonio seniors have cheered through five championships. You’ve watched legends retire and a city rebuild. This Spurs team, young, electric, and hungry, is the reward for all that patience.

Victor Wembanyama has said he dreams of bringing San Antonio its sixth championship. Watching him pursue that in person, surrounded by tens of thousands of Spurs fans in silver and black, is a San Antonio experience unlike anything else.

You don’t need to be fast on your feet to feel that energy. You just need to show up.

The Frost Bank Center is ready for you. The Spurs are ready. San Antonio is ready.

Go Spurs Go. 🖤🤍
